In celebration of Chanukah, the Chabad of NW Seattle is turning Ballard Ave into the first-ever Ballard Chanukah village next week.

The Ballard Chanukah village, scheduled for Dec. 22 at 4 p.m., will include a scavenger hunt, crafts, music, donuts and latkes, and a raffle drawing. The event will conclude with a giant menorah lighting and gelt drop at Bergen Place Park.

The event is free, but participants can RSVP online to receive a Chanukah village map prior to the event. Maps will also be available at Bergen Place Park at the start of the event.
