Born Belgrade, Serbia December 28, 1927 Died Cleveland, OH December 20, 2022. Age 94. It is with heavy hearts we share the news that our loving Tata has died from a sudden and unexpected accident. Mladen was a proud Serbian, World War II vet, hard-worker, athlete, gardener, and fixer of all household things. He was a dedicated, son, brother, husband, Dad, Father-in-law, Uncle, Great-Uncle, Grandpa, neighbor and friend to many people. An avid swimmer and water polo player, Dad met his wife Nadezda (Todorovic) Beros in Slovenia at a sports competition. After a brief courtship, Mom and Dad were married in 1950. Mom and Dad immigrated to Cleveland in 1959. The family lived in Cleveland, Euclid and eventually Strongsville, OH. Mladen did an amazing job raising his family, driving to sports events, music lessons, attending every play and choir concerts while working hard at various jobs over the years. Mladen leaves behind his wife of 72 years Nadezda (Todorovic) Beros, daughter Svetlana (Beros) Rook, son-in-law David Rook, son George Beros, daughter-in-law Jennifer (Rohan) Beros, grandson Michael Beros, granddaughter Alexandra (Allie) Beros, niece Dubravka Cvjeticanin, great-niece Tamara Cvjeticanin. He was preceded in death by his father George Beros, mother Ilinka (Stojanovic) Beros, brother Jovan Beros and sister-in-law Rada Beros. A church service in Mladen's honor will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 12 p.m. at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 2151 West Wallings Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147. V. Rev. Mijoljub Matic officiating. Immediately following service the burial will take place at the church cemetery. A lunch open to all attending will be served in the small hall on the church picnic grounds after the burial.
